Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 4 October 2026 · Last updated: 4 October 2026
In short: GUL Music Player is free for personal use. It plays music that is already on your device. You are responsible for having the right to play the files you use with it. The app is provided "as is".
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form an agreement between you and anasdrive ("we", "us", "our"), the developer of GUL Music Player ("the app"). They cover your use of the app and of gulplayer.anasdrive.com. By downloading, installing or using the app you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free licence to download, install and use the app on Android devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, under these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.
The app is offered free of charge. It contains no advertising and no in-app purchases. If this ever changes, we will update these Terms and clearly disclose it before any charge applies.
3. Your content and copyright
The app is a local media player. It does not provide, sell, stream or download music, and it does not host any content. It only plays audio files that are already stored on your device or that you choose to open with it.
- You are solely responsible for the audio files you play with the app. You confirm that you own them or have the necessary rights or licences to use them.
- Song titles, artist names, album names and artwork shown in the app come from the metadata of your own files. They belong to their respective owners.
- We do not endorse, check or take responsibility for any content you play with the app.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose, including infringing the copyright or other rights of others
- Copy, modify, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app, or publish modified versions of it
- Decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble the app, except where applicable law expressly permits this despite this restriction
- Remove or change any copyright, trademark or other notices in the app
- Use the app's name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product
5. Our intellectual property
The app, including its code, design, user interface, the name "GUL Music Player" and the GUL logo, is owned by anasdrive and protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Apart from the limited licence in section 2, these Terms give you no rights in it. Open-source components included in the app are licensed under their own licences, such as the Apache License 2.0 for AndroidX and Media3 libraries.
6. Privacy
The app does not collect personal data and has no internet access. Our Privacy Policy explains this in detail and forms part of these Terms.
7. Google Play and third parties
The app is distributed through Google Play. Your download and use of Google Play are governed by Google's terms and policies, and Google is not responsible for the app. Links to third-party websites or apps, for example when you share a song, are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Updates and availability
We may release updates that add, change or remove features, fix bugs or improve security. Some updates may be needed for the app to keep working. We may also stop offering or supporting the app at any time. Because the app works offline, an installed copy will normally keep working, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with future Android versions or every device.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app and website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. This includes, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy or uninterrupted, error-free operation. We do not guarantee that the app will support every audio format or file on your device.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, anasdrive will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. This includes any loss of data, playlists, profits or goodwill arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, even if we have been told such damages are possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us for it, which is zero for the free app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Your licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms. When it ends you must stop using the app and delete it from your devices. Sections 3, 5 and 9–12 continue to apply after termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan. If you are a consumer living in another country, you may also have the benefit of mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they were last changed. Material changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes on Google Play. If you continue to use the app after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
